The BEST Network Histology Atlas has been designed to be self-paced and easy to navigate.
The side bar is divided into body systems. Select a tab to view modules on the separate tissue types or body structures.

Each module comprises a series of pages. To view a page, click the thumbnail image or title.

Students can complete as much or as little of the course as they need.
Each page provides introductory information and descriptions of the histological appearance of the tissue, followed by annotated images for tissue types and cells seen in the human body. In some cases examples from non-human species have been used as they better demonstrate structures. Each page is navigated by scrolling downwards. Virtual slides can be interacted with within the page or opened in a new tab.
